Meet the Doctor

Dr. Thomas Pickett

Dr. Thomas Pickett has been a long-time resident of The Woodlands, growing up in the community and graduating from The Woodlands High School. He then graduated from Trinity University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Business Administration before earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. Following that, he completed an additional three-year residency in Prosthodontics. Prosthodontics is the dental specialty of replacing missing or broken teeth.

After working in several dental offices in Houston, Nacogdoches, and Sealy, Dr. Pickett met Dr. Satterfield and they started discussing the possibility of working together. Dr. Satterfield has built an excellent reputation in The Woodlands over the last 40 years for attention to detail and putting the patient first. Dr. Satterfield’s dental office was just as Dr. Pickett had envisioned for himself and his patients. Additionally providing dental care for his hometown community made it an easy decision. In July 2020, Dr. Satterfield and Dr. Pickett started transitioning the practice to its next phase as Pickett Dental Group.

While in dental school, Dr. Pickett met his future wife, Zelina. They now have been blessed with two young daughters. During his free time Dr. Pickett enjoys watching sports and rooting for the Astros, Texans, and Rockets. Dr. Pickett and his wife have also participated in many running events including several half marathons.
